BOOT scootin boogie

hey hey. just thought i'd give another update on how things are going lately. in case any of you were unaware, apparently i hurt my foot in some crazy way. it's been bothering me for over a month now, so i finally got it checked out by the doc. after x-rays and whatnot, they put me in this ugly boot!!! ugh. anyway - i'm getting an MRI tomorrow to make sure it's not too bad, or else surgery will occur. pray that it won't be necessary! i'm pretty sure it's not terrible, but apparently i've just stretched my ligaments out a bunch on the top of my foot, and they have to make sure they aren't torn. what i have is called lisfranc - or something. who knows. anyway - now i'm styling with my massive boot, and i'm the loudest, slowest walker ever! i'm pretty sure the people two floors below us can hear me clunking around the kitchen. apparently it makes for a great conversation starter, however, because random people on campus will just come up to me and ask me what happened and stuff. kinda crazy, but anything's possible here at the Y. anyway - i really should be studying for my interior design class instead of updating this, but i thought i'd give a shout-out and see how y'all were doing. hopefully i'll post again soon with great news from the MRI...just keep your fingers crossed!!! oh yeah - and another interesting fact about tara is that this past week my roommates and i had a little bet or dare going on. i was wanting to see if it was possible for me to jump from my bed to hydee's bed (which is probaby about 8 feet or so) without hitting my head on the low ceiling, or falling off. anyway - hydee didn't think it was possible, so all my roommates came in and we took a poll. ashley was the only one who believed in me, and the others thought it to be totally impossible. of course my competitive side came out, and i was gonna show those girls that i could do it. my first attempt wasn't terrible, but i kinda landed on my stomach on the edge of the bed, leaving a great red line for a few days. i finally figured out that the sheets on my bed were too slippery, and moved those, allowing me to get my bearings. i finally took my leap, diving onto hydee's bed before ash and i celebrated our victory. kinda fun. anyway - just in case you guys were doubting...i can jump from one bed to another. it's a talent, but apparently i was born to do it.

i'm thinking the bed jumping might have contributed to the boot?

We will keep our fingers crossed that your foot will recover. In the meantime, leave the bed-jumping to the Olympians and the 4 year-olds.
